Prasar Bharati – Akashvani Ahmedabad has invited applications for engagement of Part-Time Correspondents (PTCs) on a contractual basis for six districts of Gujarat.

Educational Qualification
- PG Diploma/Degree in Journalism/Mass Media, OR
- Graduation in any discipline with at least 2 years of journalistic experience.
- Knowledge of computers and word processing is required.
- Candidate should possess the necessary equipment/tools required for news gathering.
- Candidate should reside at the concerned district headquarters or within 10 km of the district headquarters.
Desirable Qualification
- Experience in news coverage and reporting for electronic media, television or radio.
- Experience in local and regional news reporting and coverage.
- Proficiency in Gujarati language.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of an interview. The interview may assess educational qualification, professional experience, knowledge of the concerned district and state, current affairs, knowledge of Central Government welfare schemes, understanding of radio news, journalism skills, writing skills and communication technology.
Remuneration
Remuneration will be paid as per the applicable Prasar Bharati PTC Guidelines 2024 and will depend on satisfactory performance and the number of usable stories submitted, including applicable payment for voice input.
